It is my goal to perform work in the most cost-effective manner so that you receive valuable service for the fees charged. If a tax return takes significantly longer than originally anticipated, the fee will increase. It will not increase, however, because of small or incidental additional time.
Included in the basic tax preparation fee of $260:
· Basic Form 1040
· Schedules A (itemized deductions) & B (interest & dividends), if applicable
· Up to ten (10) income sources such as Social Security, W-2’s, and 1099’s
· One (1) state return
· Incidental communication (email/call) needed to clarify information
· Correction of any error caused by my office
· Printed copy and/or digital copy of your tax return stored on our secure client portal, if desired
· Electronic filing of returns
A discount of $30 will be applied to the accounts of clients that bring in complete and accurate information prior to March 1st. In addition, clients that have their individual returns prepared as well as a corporate, partnership, or other entity return will receive a multi-return discount of $30 on their individual return. For those with dependents needing to file a return, the basic tax preparation fee will be $75. This includes a maximum of four (4) W-2 forms and three (3) interest/dividend statements.
Fees will increase with:
· Corrections that are the result of inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the client
· Additional time required for manual processing of tax information provided, for example: manual addition, multiple communications, data entry time for more than ten (10) income sources, and complexity requiring research
· Schedule C (each) – Self-employment, including Form 4562 (depreciation) and Form 8829 (home office)
· Schedule E (each) – Rental Property, including Form 4562 (depreciation)
· Schedule F (each) – Farming, including Form 4562 (depreciation)
· Schedule D/Form 4797 – Capital Gains/Losses from Broker Transactions or Sales of Business Property
· Additional state returns
· Lengthy delays between information being requested and received
· Foreign Income/Form 1116
· Extension processing (received after April 1st)
I remain committed to providing you with exceptional service and maintaining strong customer relationships. Thank you for your understanding and support during this change, and as always, please reach out if you have any questions.
Respectfully,
Kari Leeper, CPA
